Technical and Logistics Leader – Cacho Negro Volcano Expedition

Scientific and research-focused expedition to Cacho Negro Volcano, located within Braulio Carrillo National Park.

Based on the expedition’s objectives, helicopter access was required to deploy personnel and equipment, due to the extremely remote and difficult terrain. A ground approach would have involved several additional days of mountain travel, significantly restricting participation to individuals with advanced physical conditioning and extensive mountaineering experience.

The expedition was successfully carried out from April 8 to April 12, 2008.
